Dig 4 Jimmy

The Dig 4 Jimmy event was a co-op between two great organizations,the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation and Eric Fonoimoana Dig 4 Kids. The Jimmy Miller Foundation provides it's ocean therapy surfing program for wounded warriors and abused children, and Dig 4 Kids is an after school program committed to provide youth in low-income communities with  increased opportunities for academic and athletic achievement.

This was the 3rd annual Dig 4 Jimmy surf and turf event.  The  morning started off with a 4 man surf contest with 2ft to 3ft surf at the Manhattan Beach pier where both surfers and volleyball players competed for the highest scores to put towards their team total.

After the surf event each team walked on to the volleyball courts to play against each other in a classic beach volleyball tournament. At the end both the surf contest and volleyball points were added up to pick the overall winner.
