Nano Tri-tech kneepads and an easy-entry slant zip make this the easiest suit to get in and out of.

The Vapor is the most tried and proven wetsuit in existence. Approaching its tenth year on the market, it remains second to none. It sets the standard for warmth, flexibility, and comfort. Its unique  100% Vapor Stretch water repellent technology is often copied and never perfected. The Vapor also features 100% Vapor-lock seams, Thermofiber from the chest down, and Nano-tritec kneepads. Colton Sarlo trip to OZ

Check out Colton Sarlo, Big Allen Sarlo, and Paul Fisher as they take an amazing trip through OZ.

We stopped in Newcastle on our drive up and met up with Mark Richards. Such a legend, but so down-to-earth, too. Allen, Deborah and him exchanged old tour stories as Colton examined Mark's latest shapes. Photo: Paul Fish

Greenmount. We woke up to this dreamy lineup the first couple of days in Oz while staying on the Gold Coast. It's just a sandbar down from Snapper, which has many different moods from carve-friendly walls on high tide to sandy, running barrels on the low. Photo: Paul Fisher

Allen Sarlo Documentary Work to Surf

Come check out one of Body Glove's long time friend and supporter's and Malibu legend Allen Sarlo's Documentary Film "Work to Surf". The screening with a tribute to Mark Foo will be Thursday October 13th at the Other Venice Film Festival at 7:00pm at the Beyond Baroque Theater. 681 North Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, CA.

Info about Allen Sarlo
Allen Sarlo, aka "The Wave Killer", aka "The King of Mailbu". His parents Shirley and CJ Sarlo had homeymooned in Venice Beach and were enchanted with the S Ca Life style, they never looked back to New York. Hard working and focused, Shirley opened Sarlo Tax Service and CJ worked as a LA County Lifeguard and a Culver City police officer. Allen was surfing by age 6, at 14 he was surfing the infamous "Cove" at the POP pier. The film, "Dogtown, Z Boys" documented his adolescence and captured a celluloid preview of his athletically intense surfing style. In 1974, at 16 Allen took first place at the prestigious Malibu 4-A contest, to the chagrin of the older surfers. Allen's progressive surfing style challenged the Malibu old school of surfing, with his bold strength and agressive wave maneuvers. That same year Allen went on to win the West Coast Junior Championships and his pro surfing career was launched. By 1977 Allen was sporting the media given nickname "Wave Killer" and surfing around the world on the Pro-circuit.

He made featured appearances in the surf films "Wave Warriors" and "Following the Lotus". It was a great time to be a pro-surfer, except with the exception that there was no money in it. But the experience was priceless. Allen's bonds with fellow watermen Mark Foo, Peter Townsend, Shaun Tomsom and many others were forged forever.

By the 1980's Allen finished surfing the Pro-tour and realized that in order to continue surfing all over the world, he needed to finish his college education. The concept of 'work to surf' was formed with his friend Mark Foo. Allen went to work in his family business and started his real estate career.

He has received innumerous accolades for his real estate professionalism over the years, one being "Top Producer" for Coldwell Banker, 12 years running. In 1986 Allen married his high-school sweetheart Deborah Barrett. their daughter Sophia Oceana sarlo was born in 1989 and son Colton James Sarlo in 1993.

In June 1998 the cover of Surfing Magazine shocked the surfing world with a photo of Allen doing a bottom turn on a 20+ ft wave. Until that cover came out, big wave surfing was all about taking the drop and getting out alive. His powerful style made the dramatic feat look easy and graceful. In 2000 Sarlo placed 5th in the Quicksilver's World Masters, held in Hossegor, France. He won the Malibu International 2008 and 2009. Allen continues surfing big waves in Hawaii enjoying towing in at the outer reefs. sarlo also is an expert kite surfer. He gained his SAG standing doing the stunt doubling for Heath Ledger in the Lords of Dogtown and a Bank of America/Ameriprise commercial.

The surf life style film "Work to Surf" is Allen's latest adventure, it's a bio documentary with a 'feel good' message. Allen is an active member of Surfrider Foundation, rallying over the years for cleaner water at Malibu's "Surfrider Beach".
