Body Glove's 2012 Fall Wetsuits

Using the latest technology we have insulated the entire lining of the suit with our Advanced Pyrostretch composite material from the chest down and added Glideskin neck lining for ultimate comfort. The entire suit features Vaporlock seams covering every inch of which is locked tight with our Fluid seal lining. Nano Tri-tech kneepads and an easy-entry slant zip make this the easiest suit to get in and out of.

The Vapor is the most tried and proven wetsuit in existence. Approaching its tenth year on the market, it remains second to none. It sets the standard for warmth, flexibility, and comfort. Its unique  100% Vapor Stretch water repellent technology is often copied and never perfected. The Vapor also features 100% Vapor-lock seams, Thermofiber from the chest down, and Nano-tritec kneepads. This wetsuit is available in 5/4/3, 4/3, and 3/2.

The CT wetsuit is for the competitive surfer, who needs the lightest suit available to help make those fast sections and keep those airs lofty. With 100% Magna Flex, this is Body Glove's highest performing stretch material and is 10% lighter than standard neoprene. The CT comes in a slant zip chest entry with a concealed left shoulder bib cinch for reduced water flushing. It also features vapor lock seams, an interior Thermolite chest panel, and Nano Tritec kneepads.

The brand new Legends wetsuit was made in honor of Body Glove founders Bob and Bill Meistrell and designed for the more mature surfer. You'll have no problem getting in and out of this suit, and here's why. The Legends wetsuit has a fuller torso cut and extended back zip, for maximum ease of entry and exit. It is made of 100% Eco Flex, the purest form of non-toxic material on the planet, environmentally friendly non-petroleum Bio-Stretch rubber, with anti-microbial properties.

The Legends also features Vapor-lock seams with 100% exterior fluid seal, an interior floodgate to keep that chill off your back, plus Nano Tritec Kneepads. Its equipped with an unfinished collar, wrist, and ankle cuffs helping to eliminate a major point of water entry and a right arm exterior zip key pocket. If you're an old guy that still rips, you deserve the best product and the Legends wetsuit was designed for you.

International Surfing Day- June 20th

Every year sometime around the summer solstice, surfers and ocean enthusiasts celebrate International Surfing Day. This year on June 20th, International Surfing Day will unite surfers around the globe for a fun filled day full of surfing and learning about sustainability of the ocean.

Here is how a couple of Body Glove surfers are celebrating International Surfing Day.

“Everyday is International Surf Day in my book! I spend most of my time in the water and if it's flat, I'm at least looking at the ocean somewhere. ISD to me is a day where I want to spend time in the ocean surfing somewhere and also a day where I can give back to something that has given me so much. Whether it be picking up trash, donating to a local cause and/or educating myself on something I didn't know about the ocean, that's how I plan to spend my day!”

“I plan on surfing whether its flat or not just to get in the water. ISD is an important day to surf with your friends and get involved with a beach cleanup.”

“ISD means a day to celebrate surfing and all the joys it brings.  It also raises awareness for our oceans and what we can do to prevent our negative impact.  The oceans are such a blessing, so to be able to give back a little bit is awesome. On ISD I am going to help out with the Surfrider Foundation and do a video interview with Transworld.”

Check out the ISD web-a-thon available live via the internet on TransWorldSurf.com

Also listen in to KNX 1070 at 8:20 am to hear Alex Gray talk about International Surfing Day with anchors Dick Helton and Vicky Moore.

Nate Yeoman's Places 2nd!

A special congrats to Body Glove team rider Nate Yeomans for a second place finish at the ASP PRIME Billabong Azores Islands last weekend. Nate placed second to C.J. Hobgood in an epic encounter which came down to an explosive final seven minutes with the lead changing, 17.53 to 15.33 in tricky 3-4ft wind affected peaks at Praia de Santa Barbara.

In Nates words: Azores Highlight for me was after the final being up on the podium with with 2 World Champions, CJ hobgood and Occy. Occy came up to me afterwards and said I was the preformer of the event and he was really impressed with my surfing. Are you kidding me, the all time Goofy Footed Power House telling me that he was impressed by my surfing. He said," I was the stand out of the event in his mind." WOW. I cant really say anything else except thats going to be one of the highlights of my surfing career. At that point I felt like I won the comp either way, so thanks Occy.

Body Glove's Nate Yeomans Works with Surfer's Healing

ASP World Tour Campaigner Nate Yeomans Gives Back with Surfer's Healing

DOHENY BEACH, California/USA (Thursday, July 1, 2010) - Nate Yeomans (USA), 28, is one of California's greatest ever exports. A lightning-fast forehand and backhand approach that mixes no-nonsense carves with a full array of progressive fin-free and aerial maneuvers, Yeomans has been at the vanguard of futuristic surfing for years. Into his rookie year on the ASP World Tour, Yeomans finds himself in the fight of his life to crack the Top 32 following Tahiti and stay amongst the world's elite. Despite all this, Nate still takes time to volunteer with Surfer's Healing (an organization that takes Autistic children and gets them in the water surfing), where he was a major attraction to the kids at Doheny yesterday.

"I have a cousin that suffers from autism," Yeomans said. "I actually got the call from a friend yesterday to come down and help out. It was amazing to see how it really soothes the kids when there out there surfing. I was talking to a mom of one of the grommets and see said, 'It's a sensory overload for them out in the water. All the different feelings that are going on really mellows out the kids.' It's just like us. That's why we surf, and to be able to share that with them was one of the raddest things I've done. The only bummer was none of the kids wanted to leave. One of the boys, Jordan, got done surfing. They brought him in, and as soon as he touched the sand he turned around and ran right back to the water and started swimming to get back on a board. Its was awesome."
