So the day I left the Tiki Shack  the crew still was there to get more video.  After a unsuccessful first round at the Canel's down in Parker, Arizona they decided to go back and look for another spot to ride.  Now I'm assuming Jeff McKee took these photos because he was the one I left the camera with when I left.  He seemed pretty excited about shooting photos.  Maybe because he didn't get to participate in his own "I Want Your Job!" rider/photographer switch contest he had done for Alliance Wakeboard Magazine (May 2009).   

And then there is always Bob doing his best to get in on the action.

Welcome to the Body Glove Family Bob Soven

So technically Bob Soven has been on the Body Glove team since the first of the year, but you cannot be fully initiated into the family until you’ve gone on a Body Glove team trip.

Body Glove rolled out to Parker, AZ on March 30th to begin filming the latest team video, set to be released at Surf Expo in August. Bob joined fellow team riders Rusty Malinoski, Shelby Kantar, Jeff McKee, James Balzer and Daniel Doud at the Tiki Shack. Bob was successfully hazed during USCGA vest photo shoots, dance offs and Super Man costume stunts.

“Bob is an amazing rider with an incredible personality,” said team manager Sarah Lalau, “We are stoked to have him on our team and can’t wait to see him bring that to the tour.”

Bob has a long history in water sports and according to him was up in skis before he could walk. He finished out 2008 in the top 3 and if his riding at the Tiki Shack was any clue he’s looking to finish big in 2009. For more pics from the trip go to http://www.bodygloveartbox.blogspot.com

A Break in the Day-Tiki Shack

So the guys had some time on their hands one day.  Rusty and James decided to give the Airchair a try. 

Rusty went first and rode it for a little before going down.

James was next and did about the same as Rusty.

James falls gracefully down in the water.

After the airchair Rusty and James were finding other ways to keep them occupied.  Wheelbarrels back and forth to start with.

Dragging James across the front yard next.

Hopping in a cart and pulling Rusty around.

Then getting the bright idea to ride the cart together down the boat ramp and into the water.

Better yet.  Let's try a shopping cart.  After they got their feel of fun it was back to work.  Getting the rail out into the water and go riding.

Tiki Shack Day 2

Day 2 down at the Tiki Shack started with a 5:30 a.m. wake up.  After everybody woke up and got the blood flowing we hit the water for some riding.

Wakeboard Team Tiki Shack Trip

Last week the Body Glove Wakeboard team drove out to the Tiki Shack to begin filming for the upcoming Body Glove Wakeboard movie.

The team went out and bought supplies and began building a rail.
