Redondo Beach, CA – Body Glove and SocialVibe have joined forces to help out YOUR favorite charity. By creating a profile with SocialVibe, picking your favorite charity and using Body Glove as a sponsor, Body Glove will help raise money for your favorite cause.
SocialVibe is a social networking application that specializes in connecting charity organizations with brands. Create a brand badge and place it on your MySpace and Facebook pages and every time your friends look at your page you earn points and Body Glove will donate money to your cause.
Being a family-owned business, part of Body Glove’s mission is to create relationships with charitable organizations and thus far we have picked them. Body Glove has worked with Surfrider Foundation, Reef Check, and Heal the Bay just to name a few, but Social Vibe is an interactive way for our consumers to tell us where to send Body Glove’s charitable dollars.
“SocialVibe is a really cool platform,” says Sarah Lalau, Public Relations for Body Glove, “it is such a unique way to bring our loyal customers and social causes together, and for Body Glove to build a stronger bond with both.”
It is as simple as going to www.socialvibe.com, creating a profile and picking a charity. Body Glove’s artwork and your charity’s message will be created and added to your profiles.
For more information on Body Glove, our products, athletes and initiatives go to http://bodygloveartbox.blogspot.com/ and www.bodyglove.com
SocialVibe recognizes that individuals hold the key to generating attention and wielding influence in social media. It's a powerful new way for brands to interact with people and change the way brands participate in social media. SocialVibe allows people to choose a brand to endorse, earning opportunities to get brand perks and points. The points that members earn are then turned into funds for the charitable cause of their choice.

The Body Glove Entertainment crew is back from the North Shore, Hawaii. We got plenty of shots of Cheyne Magnusson, Alex Gray, Luke Stedman and Dusty Payne. Mike Balzer was there shooting for 7 days.
Dusty Payne had a great run in the Triple Crown but ran into a red hot Joel Parkinson who scored two 10's in the heat against Dusty. Joel went on to win the Triple Crown. Congratulations goes out to Dusty for his amazing effort and really standing out this year on the North Shore. Dusty Payne is sponsored by Body Glove Wetsuit use only.

Body Glove International would like to welcome Chandler Parr to the Family. Chandler stopped by the office today with her dad to meet with Greg Browning. Chandler will be sponsored by Body Glove for Wetsuits and Swimwear. I sat down with her and asked her a few questions so we can get to know our new family member.
Age: 16 years old. Born and raised: Santa Monica, California. Chandler has been surfing for 7 years now. She started out skateboarding and snowboarding and her love for the water led her to surfing. She is a goofy foot and her favorite surf spots are: Zuma, Oceanside and Rocky Lefts. Favorite surf trip: Scorpion Bay. Favorite hobbies: Music and Art. She plays the guitar. Chandler has one older brother and a twin brother.
Chandler is also a member of the USA Surf team now for 1.5 years. She has been competing in the NSSA for 4 years and is currently ranked 2nd overall for 08/09 in the Southwest Open Division.
Alex Gray got a shot on surfline.com today. Scott Daley and Mike Balzer got tons of photos to bring back from the North Shore and Scott Smith got some amazing footage. New shots of Dusty, Cheyne and Alex should be here on Monday.

Speaking of rising stars. Keep your eye on Dusty Payne. He's on a roll in Hawaii right now. Putting up some points by doing well in the Vans Triple Crown. He placed 4th in the Reef Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa and is still going in Round 5 in the O'neill World Cup of Surfing at Sunset Beach. Log onto http://www.triplecrownofsurfing.com.
A reminder to the Body Glove partners who are using Bruce Irons in any Body Glove marketing materials. Bruce Irons will no longer be sponsored by Body Glove. His contract is up this month and will be sponsored by Volcom only. So make sure you stop using Bruce for any future marketing materials. It was great while we had him but now it's time for a new star to rise.
The last blast.
