Redondo Beach, CA (August 26, 2010) – Body Glove is pleased to announce they will be the recipients of a beautiful bronze plaque from Mira Costa High School on Saturday August 28, 2010.
The plaque is to show the school’s appreciation for Body Glove’s support of their water programs since the early 1990’s. The South Bay business helped kick off the building of Mira Costa’s state of the art pool in 1996 and sponsor the pool scoreboard. The Meistrell family’s long history in the water is not limited to the ocean. Many of the Meistrell children attended Mira Costa High School and participated in swimming and water polo.
“We are beyond honored to receive this plaque from the school,” said Billy Meistrell “My kids attended Mira Costa and participated in the aquatics program. They have given so much to my family it felt great to support their school.”
The school is hosting an All Aquatics Kick Off breakfast on Saturday morning for boys and girls water polo and swimming. The students will give a demonstration and a sneak peak into what water sport spectators have to look forward to in the coming year. At this very special breakfast, the only time all the kids come together before school starts, the plaque will be unveiled and presented to the Body Glove and Meistrell family.
