Four Days On The North Shore Hawaii

On the second day of the trip the crew went out from Haleiwa Harbor to do some shark diving. With film crew in hand, Jamie O'Brien and Cheyne Magnusson jumped in the shark cage and got up close with a few sharks. Bumpy water and all they had a good time. Look for the video of the shark dive soon from Body Glove Entertainment. The rest of the time was spent surfing Pipeline, Backdoor and Off The Wall. The Body Glove crew got all kinds of shots and footage from the trip. Photos are from Brent Bielmann.

Monday Night BBQ At Jaime's

So we went shopping and bought stuff for a bbq at Jamie O'Brien's house on Monday night. Lot's of great food was cooked. During this time Jamie and his friends decided to catch some fresh fish to add to the mix.
Jamie grabbed his poles and walked out to the surf.
With the bait on the line Jamie paddled out to sea to set the line.
They set the poles and threw a bell on each so they can hear when they have a bite. It didn't take to long. Maybe 45 mins later they had a bite. They reeled in their catch to see what they caught.

They ended up catching a shark. So they took the hook out and threw him back. They left the other line out most of the night. Now keep in mind at night the beach is pretty much pitch black. Somebody was riding a ATV across the beach and coming across where the line was set out. Now you know where this is going. The guy had a flash light with him so all you see is his light going straight across the beach. He couldn't hear the guys yelling at him and the next thing you know you hear the bell from the pole ringing like crazy and you just see this light flickering all over the place. Next thing you hear is the ilde of a ATV and light on the ground. A few seconds later the guy (or gal, since it was pitch black we never saw who it was) got up and rode off. Needless to say the pole stayed out and they ended up catching another shark and letting him go. BBQ ended with some good food, cold beers and some great stories to take home.

Jamie O'Brien

This was taken on Thursday afternoon before Jamie paddled out for a surf at Pipe. As he was walking out this group of Japanese tourist asked if they could take a photo with Jamie. Jamie was kind enough to spend a few minutes with his fans. Let's hope their family, friends and their homes are ok back home.

Last weekend the Body Glove crew sponsored the SALSA surf competition at the Huntington Beach pier. Sunny, offshore winds, and a great group of people made for a perfect S.A.L.S.A event. The waves were 1-3 foot which made the surf fun for all ages.

S.A.L.S.A stands for Surfers Againts Lou Gehrigs Disease Surfing Alliance. All funds from the event will help find a cure for this deadly disease.

March Update from Holly Beck

As we have said many times Holly Beck lives a very exciting life. She stopped by Body Glove headquarters and gave us a little update between trips.

Woo hoo! Just got back from an incredible trip with the Sector 9 girl's team to Ecuador and the Galapagos. We spent 10 days Sector9ing, surfing, playing with baby seals, snorkeling with hammerhead sharks, kicking soccer balls, making friends, and pulling into beach break tubes. I got so much good GoPro footage and photos and videos that it's gonna take me a while to get through it all.

I'm off to Thailand for 12 days tomorrow morning, so here's just a small sample of what's to come.....
