Jamie O'Brien Goes Diving With The Body Glove Team

Went out this morning on The Disappearance and took out Pro Surfer, Jamie O'Brien. Jamie is down from Hawaii and cruising around with Greg Browning taking in the sights, going out for a dive with the Body Glove team on a beautiful Wednesday morning.

Alex with one of his lobsters. Too small. Had to go back.
Not quite the same water temp as in Hawaii.
Jamie's first lobster catch. Didn't make the size requirement though and had to go back in.
Cheyne got a few but ended up with one legal one.
Bob and Jamie looking over the catches of the day.
Greg ended up with the biggest lobster of the day.
All but a couple lobsters had to go back. It was a beautiful day out on the water. Sun was out. Water was pretty calm and the diving conditions were pretty good as you got down to the bottom. Everybody was pretty cold afterwards though, but still beats working in office.

Team Body Glove in Japan

Japan is always a great destination for the Body Glove Team. We love rice triangles, not being able to understand anything or anyone, using the few Japanese words we know, and there can be really fun surf. Here are a few snap shots I (Body Glove filmer, Scott Smith) managed to take during our whirlwind of a trip to the land of the rising sun. Enjoy.
First stop, international terminal at LAX with Alex Gray and Cheyne Magnusson, en route to Tokyo, Japan.

When we get to Japan, Body Glove's own, Yugo, is always the first welcoming face we see. Yeah Yugo!

After a 12 hour flight to Japan, sushi is first on the list. This poor lil guy met his fate this night.

Mike Losness enjoying the result of the previous picture.

Here Mike Losness, Cheyne Magnusson, Scott Smith, and Alex Gray can't believe it's snowing. They say every 2 years or so it snows in Tokyo. We felt lucky, but we also felt cold thinking about our surf the next morning.

When we pulled up to the beach in Chiba, the boys were stoked. It looked really fun and they were out there.

Fun looking waves with a beautiful Japanese backdrop.

Autograph signing at the Interstyle Tradeshow.

Some pandas getting some sigs. Alex probably getting some digits.

A couple local friends join Scott Smith, Mike Losness, Cheyne Magnusson, Anthony Walsh, and Alex Gray for the Drop Zone premiere party at a beautiful club in Tokyo.

Mike Losness and Alex Gray getting the party started.

It worked.

Perhaps because of the night before, our board strapping skills had been compromised. This is how they ended up before pulling off the highway on the way to the airport.
Thank you Tokyo and Body Glove Japan! Abunai!

Catching up with Holly Beck

Latest post from Holly Beck

Hello friends!

I just finished up an intensely exciting and action packed two month adventure that included stops in Hawaii, Portland, an Oregon to LA coastal road trip, the Pacific and Caribbean coasts of Costa Rica, Bocas Del Toro Panama, and finally a few weeks in Nicaragua. I'm now back in LA for a week trying to process, recover, and prepare for the next leg of adventures which begins on Feb 19 with a Sector 9 trip to Ecuador, followed by Thailand and then Nicaragua.
Unfortunately my computer, external hard drive, camera, wallet filled with cash, and passport were stolen in Costa Rica. No bueno! I'm still replacing things and catching up after not having a computer for the last month.

My women's surf and yoga retreats are really taking off! I recently hosted a group of 10 ladies from all over the world along with a yoga teacher and photographer (see attached photo). I have a few retreats coming up the last week of March, first week of April, and again later in May. Check out my website for details: www.surfwithhollybeck.com/schedule

Now that I have a computer again i've been busy updating my blog and youtube with photos and videos from my recent adventures. Check out my blog for new posts and videos! http://www.hollybeckadventures.com

Thanks for your friendship and support!

Wakesurfer James Harold goes on the Body Glove Snorkel Cruise

Pro wakesurf rider, James Harold spent time with his family enjoying Hawaii's Body Glove Snorkel Cruise. The Body Glove boat takes off from Kailua-Kona Harbor, and is a 4.5 hour long cruise. It is whale season in Hawaii and a few humpbacks swam by adding some more adventure to their trip.
James said, "Captain Sharky got right up next to them and they were so huge! One breached right in front of the boat!

According to James, Captian Sharky finds an appropriate calm cove for the snorkelers and water seekers to enter safely. They offer a snorkel class just before entering the water, for the very beginners (optional), but they also offer upgraded choices like power diving or "hookah." Or if a passenger would like they can upgrade to a scuba session. James's wife, Ashley chose scuba, and said, "I want to live down there on that reef.
A wave goodbye with the BG foam hand!

Check out some photos of DJ Jameszzz in his element.
